OG Diesel Kush
OG Diesel Kush, or simply OG Diesel, for short is an extremely pungent and dank indica strain. This strain was created as a product of the cross between the classic OG Kush and New York native, Diesel. The history and roots of this strain are embedded deep within cannabis culture and will forever remain a favourite within the community – a true “People’s Choice” type of strain.
OG Diesel is incredibly potent, with laboratory results ranging from 22%-25% THC levels on average. This strain is definitely recommended for more experienced users, due to the potency and heavy-hitting high. OG Diesel Kush can be medicinally used in many ways, providing users with effective, acute pain treatment, a heavily sedating relaxing effect, and an all-around happy, cerebral, and giggly high. It is most effective when used for the treatment of insomnia, pain, stress, and depression.
This strain is characterized by its slightly darker buds and insanely generous amount of THC visible to the eyes. Lush, forest green and purple leaves are accentuated by bright orange pistils – but the most appealing thing about OG Diesel Kush is the amount of THC covering the plant. The buds are caked in a very sticky layer of trichomes, and a grinder or buster is definitely recommended for handling this strain. Another one of the identifying characteristics of this strain is the aroma. This exceptionally pungent smell is epitomized by a strong skunk aroma, with undertones of pine and a gassy diesel. The taste of OG Diesel derives from both its parent strains, fusing the earthy, lemon-like flavours of OG Kush with the skunky, gassy and pine-like tang of Diesel.
What is Weed
Once upon a time, cannabis consumption was considered a taboo act, and unacceptable in society. These days, the appeal of marijuana is stronger than ever, and the act of smoking marijuana itself is a very common occurrence – even Bill Clinton once admitted to trying the ganja saying “I didn’t inhale it, and never tried it again.” Studies done on cannabis usage in America have shown that 64% of Americans are in support of the legalization of marijuana nationwide. Lucky for us Canadians, the Cannabis culture is widely accepted and even openly celebrated. Our relaxed attitude and values towards weed has embedded cannabis as a norm in Canadian society.
Indica vs Sativa
With thousands of years of history and such a wide abundance of strains available, it is important to know the differences between indica, sativa and even hybrid strains to find out what is most suitable for your own personal needs. Simply put, indica strains and sativa strains differ in their physiological effects and their appearance. Hybrid strains are the result of cross-breeding both an indica strain and a sativa strain together to create a new strain in itself. Because each cannabis strain is so complex and different from one another, it is hard to classify the three phenotypes or variants by their effects alone.
